Reason Of Mine
By: ladydayton
The reason for living may differ to some,
Yet a reason exists for us all.
If you think that the reason's to die, as is done,
Then you're wrong, it's to have us a ball.
Our problems are many, our solutions are few.
The people have plenty, yet little to do.
Fun is our object, love is our style,
Death is our problem, life is our trial.

I don't read a lot of poetry, so I know little about it. However, I do like how this gets right to the point and doesn't make you guess at what you're talking about. Even though I have to admit, I would like to go back and read each line more slowly, because each line deserves pause and thought. ...I don't read a lot of poetry, so I know little about it. Overall I like the tone, too, especially the basic principles about having fun and about love being our style. Love that part.

i read this one becuz i liked your other one, the one about Silence. Its nice to see you can write prose AND poetry. Both works have a religious feel to them, or spiritual. In either case you could be a motivational speaker. In both works you seem to find the positive.
