My Soldier
Dear, Michael
I hope you are doing well in the army. I cannot express
how much I miss you. I have started college since you have
left and I love it. I wish you could be here with me, but you
have your own career choice and I am so happy for you. There
are so many things I wish I could just send a text and tell
you, but sadly the army doesn't agree with that method. I
cannot wait to hear back from you and read about how things
are going for you. I worry about you all the time. I know you
told me not to, but you’re my best friend and I have the
right to worry. My family all told me to tell you that they
hope you are doing well, and that they are thankful for your
service. Know your dad is very proud of you. It is what he
always wanted you to do. It has been hard for me since you
left. I don’t have my friend to tell everything to, or
sit at home and watch sappy movies and eat a whole tub of ice
cream together. I know that we have dated in the past and it
didn't work, but on the bright side we are now closer
than ever and I am so thankful to have a best friend like you.
its so funny how many people think we are still dating. at
work i always have some of your friends coming in asking if
your doing good. of course i would know so i tell them. i
guess they just assume that we are still together. anyway i
wont keep babbling on i miss you so much,i cant wait to see
you when you get back.
love, Cheyenne

Everyone should get a letter like this, and I think Michael would smile when he gets the chance to read it. No doubt it will make him think about those earlier days. *wink.
