What if you could have a magic powerful that lets you read the
minds of whoever you hugged? My name is Jeremy Fitzpatrick. I
have the most incredible power that you can ever imagine.
First let me start by telling you about myself. I grew up in a
small town in Arizona. Where everyone knew everything about
each other. One day this terrible storm happened and I had
gotten struck by lightning in my right eye. The doctors said I
would never see out of my right I again. Then the unthinkable
happened when my best friend Sean came to see me in the
hospital. I extended my arms out to give him a hug. All I
heard him say, was” I wish I could go get some
pizza.” Oh man Sean I could go for some pizza to”.
He looked at me very shocked. I was pretty shocked myself
because I didn’t see his mouth open up at all. No it
can’t be I kept telling myself. I did not just reads
Sean’s mind. After I left the hospital I went out around
town with Sean of course to test my new powers. Everyone in
my town felt sorry for me so they would just walk up to be and
give me a hug. We small town people were close like that. I
could not believe it. The unthinkable was true. I am a mind
reader. I can read peoples mines. I ask myself all of these
questions like why me? Why was I the one that was chosen to
read peoples mind. Why not anyone else. However for now I
will enjoy mind reader powers. This is the best thing that
could ever happen to me. I met this girl named Emma who came
up to me ask If I could tell her why I looked like a pirate.
Of course I laughed. I begin by telling her the story of why I
look like this and before I was done. She jumped out of her
chair to give me a hug. Before I knew it I read her mind. She
said’ “Don’t let them take me away”.
Before I could stop my mouth from opening I said
“don’t let who take you?” Emma looked a
little confused about how I knew what she was thinking. She
begin to tell me how she got away from the people who were
trying to take her away. I don’t believe what my ears
are hearing. This magic power I have can save this little
girls life. I don't believe it. I could be responsible
what happens to this little girl. I don't know how to
feel about this. See this magic power can be a good thing and
a bad thing. I believe it's all in the matter of how you
use it.

I think if you had re-read your work, and been more careful with spelling and grammar, this could have been a very interesting story. I really like how you invented an indisputable explanation as to how you became a mind reader. I mean, nobody wants to get hit by lightning in the eye to find out, ...I think if you had re-read your work, and been more careful with spelling and grammar, this could have been a very interesting story.
